Cookie Policy
What cookies and browser storage are used on the LUMAX Lighting website, and what we deliberately do not use.
This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are used on the LUMAX Lighting website at lumaxled.com, and what is stored in your browser when you visit it.
1. The short version
This website does not use cookies for advertising, tracking, analytics or profiling. We do not show a cookie banner, because we do not use anything that requires your consent. The only browser storage is a few small, non-personal configuration values that let the site run, and a technical sign-in session for members of staff who maintain the site. Both are strictly necessary for the website to work.
2. What cookies and similar storage are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store, which is sent back to the site on later requests. Browser storage such as local storage is similar: a small amount of data a site keeps in your browser until it expires or you clear it. Both can be used to recognise a browser between visits, and both are covered by this policy.
3. What we do not use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies, and no advertising or social media pixels.
- No analytics. Base44 Analytics is switched off in the website's code, so no analytics session identifier is created in your browser and no analytics requests are sent. Nothing else on the site measures usage.
- No session recordings. Recording and replay of visits on the platform is not enabled for this website.
- No cross-site tracking, and nothing shared with advertising networks or data brokers.
- No embedded third-party widgets, maps or media that would set their own cookies.
4. Requests that are not cookies
Our images and typefaces are served from our own hosting, including the platform's asset host, rather than from third-party services such as external font libraries. Our hosting platform processes standard technical request data, such as your IP address, to serve the page securely and block abuse; it is not used to track you across other websites. If you click a link that takes you to another company's website, that site's own cookies and policies apply from the moment you arrive.
5. Essential browser storage, explained
- Non-personal configuration values: the platform stores a few small configuration values in your browser's local storage so that the website runs correctly, such as the website's identifier, the version of the backend functions it is running, its base address, and the address of the page the site was opened from. They contain no personal information and are not used to identify you, to profile you, or to follow you between websites.
- Staff sign-in session: when a member of our team signs in to the website's administration area, the platform stores an authentication token in your browser's local storage so the session is recognised on the next page. It is not used for tracking or advertising and it is removed when they sign out. This does not apply to ordinary visitors, because sign-in is not offered to the public.
- Nothing else is written to your browser when you browse the public website or submit an enquiry through the contact form or the Project Spec Builder.
6. Your choices
You can clear or block cookies and site data at any time in your browser's settings, and you can set your browser to delete them when it closes. Blocking site data does not stop you reading the website or sending us an enquiry; it would only prevent a member of staff from staying signed in to the administration area.
7. Consent
Because we use only storage that is strictly necessary, we are not required to ask for your consent and we do not show a cookie banner. If we ever introduce a cookie or similar technology that is not strictly necessary, for example analytics, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting it.
8. Changes and questions
We review this policy when our website or our providers change. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. If you have any questions about cookies or this policy, email info@lmxled.co.uk or telephone +44 1895 348 835. For how we handle personal information more generally, see our Privacy Policy at lumaxled.com/privacy-policy.
